At the age of 18, living in his native Burma, Pah Jaw had to fight as a soldier to protect the villagers who lived near him. At 22, Pah stepped on a landmine and lost his entire vision. A few years later, Pah made the decision to immigrate to the United States.
Once here, Pah looked diligently for work to support his family and found his job at Beyond Vision in Assembly and Packaging. Pah says he really likes working with and talking with his co-workers. “My conversations have really helped improve my English,” Pah says.
Outside work, Pah enjoys hanging out with his three kids and cooking his native “Karen” food. He lives by these words: When there is peace and love, the world is a better and happier place.
