It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Dennis Martin.
Dennis was a rare combination, a gifted financial mind and an even more generous heart. He poured himself into Beyond Vision, into the people we serve, and into our community, always guided by his faith, his love for his family, and his deep belief in our Mission of creating meaningful employment for people who are blind.

As CFO, Dennis brought steady judgment and quiet compassion to everything he touched. From guiding us through the VisABILITY Center project to the everyday financial decisions that kept our Mission moving forward. But numbers were never really the point for Dennis. He used his talents to open doors for people, and he did it with warmth, humor, and genuine care for everyone around him. Outside of work, that same spirit showed up in his volunteer service as board treasurer at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Dennis gave of himself everywhere he went.
He was a trusted colleague and a true friend to so many of us, and the respect he earned came not just from his accomplishments, but from who he was as a person.
Our hearts and prayers are with Dennis’s family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
We will miss him deeply, we will remember him fondly, and we are so grateful for the time we had with him and the difference he made in all our lives.
