Andre is an employee in Beyond Vision’s manufacturing department located in West Allis, Wisconsin. He graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in 2020, and came to work at Beyond Vision shortly after that. Though Andre started only as a part time employee, he has slowly been increasing his hours and, lately, has been volunteering to help out extra days during the busy season to make sure the job gets done!

“At first, I thought of the job as just a check,” Andre says. He says now, however, that he enjoys putting in those extra hours whenever he can. “Its good to feel like I’m accomplishing something. That I’m needed.”

Working at Beyond Vision helped Andre realize that more was possible than he thought after seeing what his fellow employees who are blind were accomplishing he says. He feels that Beyond Vision provides the opportunity for people to become very effective at their jobs, to be work centric and work minded. “As a 19-year-old kid just starting here, I didn’t have that at all” Andre says.
